Q: When should I purchase Allianz Global Assistance coverage?
A: Comprehensive travel insurance policies can protect your family vacation investment, but like all types of insurance, you must buy it before the storm is a sure thing. You should purchase coverage when you book the trip. We suggest doing this for all trips regardless of the destination or the time of year you are traveling. Storm-related claims may only be valid if the policy was bought before the storm, hurricane, or associated warning is announced by the National Weather Service. Once warnings are issued, it is considered a “foreseeable event” and no longer eligible for coverage.
