Travel Protection – How do I know what travel protection plan to choose for my needs?
Classic Travel Protection Plan plans offer a Comprehensive policy. Remember, while you may be covered by your own personal health insurance plan, you will need to pay all costs up front for any treatment/medical expenses and/or hospital stay in most cases. Then you must file a claim with your health insurance company when you arrive back in the states for possible reimbursement. Remember also that Medicare does not cover outside the United States. Your plan with Allianz Global Assistance may also require you to pay any medical costs up front prior to your return home. You will be able to file a claim for possible reimbursement upon your return.
Classic Travel Protection Plan offers several of the same coverage items. However, Limited does not have any coverage for cancellation or trip interruption.
